Ideation

An existing client sent in a brief for a project to be executed ASAP as usual and said we need your best digital strategy and route plan, and after several hours of brainstorming session, we came up with one of the best ideas (so we think) and clients says this is totally out of the box and we love it and you send in an implementation plan and they then say slow down, we have our execution company.

It is becoming a norm for brands and organisations to pitch tent with several organisations in the name of control and as creative agencies we tend to be silent and say to ourselves, at least we are getting something, it goes to show that there is absolutely disregard for ideation and execution. If we were brilliant enough to come up with the idea, how possible is it for us not to do a fantastic job with the execution?

We (digital and traditional agencies)need to stand and do the right thing, which goes also to protect our intellectual property, because we conceive ideas with a route to execute in mind.

Digital Agency cum Traditional Agency

So, am struggling to keep up with my blog timeline and am seriously considering a brain to text software, now quickly to the subject, constantly we are faced with the dilemma of comparing the traditional advertising agency with the digital agency cum results, if the digital agency can produce measurable results and traditional advertising  can only give us estimate of possible viewers.
Then it is safe to say that for us (Digital Agencies) should be rewarded on a premium base for a more detailed approach to targeting and reaching consumers, and it is with such mixed feeling, that whenever brands, organisations and even multinationals are looking for a way to cut down advertising budgets, they think digital and gradually we are becoming synonymous to quantity, which brings me to the conclusion of my last blog, we need to quickly create a structure for this relatively new industry, drawing lessons from the traditional agency never to create a fee based remuneration and there is no need to nag without action, please watch this space and every other space for movements relating to the digital industry.

I seriously hope i can record my thoughts like twitter in bits and some machine helps to put it together- Think Digital-*wink*
